Before you apply for a New Zealand Government Scholarship, we are summarizing the benefits and eligibility requirements for you. The main criterions for most scholarships are good student profiles. What you need to have in your profile to be a “good student” depends on various factors. Some scholarships also value the factors such as volunteering and extracurricular activities.
Apply by yourself
You can submit your application by yourself without spending any money on an agent. Just follow the universities official website! English language test score requirements
New Zealand Government Scholarship organizations usually accept standardized test scores from these 4 English skills test systems.
TOEFL (the Test of English as a Foreign Language) OR
IELTS (the International English Language Testing System) OR
Cambridge Academic English (advanced) OR
PTE Academic (the Pearson Test of English Academic)
Each educational institution or university sets out the minimum English required for your chosen course.
Generally, to study for a postgraduate qualification, you must have at least:
An overall IELTS score of 6.5 and no band less than 6.0
A TOEFL score of 90 on the internet-based test with a writing score of 21
A Cambridge Academic English (advanced) overall score of 176 with no bands less than 169.
An overall PTE Academic score of 58 with no communicative skills score less than 50
